Insurance Recommendations
Strongly Recommended
Be sure to join medical insurance after enrollment, pay insurance premiums on time. Once insured, hospital treatment can be reimbursed partially. Additionally, commercial insurance is strongly recommended to avoid heavy financial pressure on families from huge treatment costs in case of accidental injuries.
The university will unify insurance notifications after school starts; participation is voluntary. It is recommended to purchase the university-recommended insurance if financial conditions allow, as it has wide coverage and low premiums.
Freshman Physical Examination
- After school starts, unified freshman physical examinations will be arranged; no need to have a physical examination in advance
- Examination items include: seated forward bend, vital capacity, vision, height, weight, waist circumference, chest circumference, etc.
- No eating before physical examination (blood draw required)
- No need to wear underwear for examination
Medical Tips
- Recommend bringing common medicines (cold medicine, anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-diarrhea medicine, fever reducers, band-aids, etc.); medicine prices near campus are slightly higher
- During military training, if feeling unwell, you can take sick leave with a medical record; don't push through
- Qingdao's climate is humid; lower-floor dormitories may consider preparing dehumidification supplies
- For mental health needs, contact the university's Psychological Health Education and Research Center
